lifelonglovesong If I told you things I did before, told you how I used to be, would you go along with someone like me? If you knew my story word for word, had all of my history, would you go along with someone like me?

Hypothetical cover … just wondering!

I was wondering how the song Solitary Man by Johnny Cash would sound in Piero Barone’s voice. I think great! I mean, it’s a very different music style than Il Volo’s,  but I just think that song would “fit” on his voice, you know? Although Johnny’s voice is lower… Anyway! IlVolovers, maybe you’ll give it a listen and tell me what you think?

Il Volo

Ok, let me take a moment and talk about how I feel about Il Volo. Although I had heard of them before, I still hadn’t stopped to listen to their music until early May, when I saw their show on TV, by chance. From the first verse I heard, I was delighted by their talent! I ordered their DVD on the next day, and I basically haven’t stopped watching it ever since. You can do the math, it’s been less than two weeks since they came into my life, and I already declare myself their fan. The great quality of their voices was so irresistible to me that I couldn’t help it - as you say, I am an IlVolover! And now I feel like a teenager (even though I’m 23), searching for photos and videos, dreaming about their concert, and wondering how would it be like to date Piero Barone! Unfortunately, my “encounter” with Il Volo’s music was only a few days before their concert in my country. I couldn’t afford an improvised trip to see them. I really hope they come back next year, and I’ll do anything to go. I fell in love with this band and I’m not ashamed, I’m proud. Because they are so incredibly talented, and their music is making a difference in my life… I’m starting to learn Italian just because of them! A new language, which is a new world opening up before me. I owe them that. So I’m thankful for that day, when they were on TV just at the right time for me to get to know them. Thank you Il Volo, for sharing your talent with us!
